Saturday May 8th, 9am - 3pm - The NEN (Neighborhood Empowerment Network) Clean & Green Summit features morning and afternoon breakout groups, workshops, tips and talks on how to make your neighborhood a better place to live, work and play. Saturday May 8th, 11am - City- Wide Health Summit, focused on proposed changes of CPMC. There are major changes planned for Healthcare Delivery for San Francisco - big plans are in the works for a major new campus at Van Ness and Geary. Stay on top of what's being proposed - make your voice heard. Saturday May 15th, 9:45am - noon - Middle Polk Neighborhood Clean-up (always the 3rd Saturday of the month). Join your Neighbors at It's A Grind, 1800 Polk at Washington and work together to spruce up our fine Neighborhood. DPW provides all equipment - we provide the people-power and fun. Get to know your Neighbors, break bread afterward - if you have the time. This is a great way to get to know your Neighbors and directly benefit our Neighborhood. Monday May 17th, 7 - 8PM (always the 3rd Monday of the month) at It's A Grind, 1800 Polk at Washington - Our May Middle Polk Neighborhood Association Meeting features the fabulous and entertaining Melissa Griffin of the SF Examiner. Melissa explains the Ballot Initiatives facing us voters this June - in a fun, educational and easy-to-understand way. There are several Judge positions open - and many of the Candidates will be stopping by to provide a quick intro and overview of their platforms. The SFPD will be providing an expert update on what's up crime and safety-wise and a few friends and neighbors will be stopping by to provide updates on key topics. Tuesday May 25th, 5-7PM - Van Ness BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) Citizen's Advisory Board meeting at 100 Van Ness - The Van Ness BRT proposes many transit changes - some neighbors love and some don't.
