August Clean-up
The August monthly clean-up will be held on Saturday August 15 (always the third Saturday of the month). We meet at It's A Grind, at the corner of Polk and Washington at 9:45 AM and work until noon. Le Beau Nob Hill Market, at Clay and Leavenworth, is hosting a special BBQ Lunch for all volunteers after the clean-up. Lunch will cost only $5.00 and all volunteers will receive a special gift.
August Meeting
The August monthly meeting will be held on Monday August 17 (always the third Monday of the month). The meeting is at It's A Grind, at the corner of Polk and Washington at 7:00 PM and goes for an hour. Arrive early to check in and get some coffee.
This month the San Francisco Fire Department will be discussing household and neighborhood safety and Ed Reskin, Director of DPW will be discussing neighborhood concerns including curbing those unwanted newspapers and handbills. DPW will also discuss the upcoming reconstruction of California Street (from Van Ness to Drumm) and the new blight ordinance.
Come and have your voice be heard.
NERT Training
The Neighborhood Emergency Response Team training has finally been scheduled. The training is done by the fire department and teaches preparedness and response techniques in the case of an emergency.
The training will be held at the First Congregational Church at the corner of Polk and Bush from 6:30PM until 9:30PM for 6 consecutive Tuesday evenings starting on Tuesday August 18.
